Why does my lotion pump not work?

A lotion pump acts much like an air suction device that draws the product from the bottle.Upon pressure being applied

to the pump, the pump head will push back to its original position. It’s simple and easy to use out of all the pumps

available.

Long nozzle pump

Are you having trouble opening the pump for the newest product you bought? If you buy a bottle of hand soap, lotion, or

other pump dispenser item, sometimes the plunger dispenser is locked down so it won’t accidentally squirt while being

transported. Well I have a quick fix for you to unlock the plunger, hold the bottle and twist the plunger counterclockwise

until it pops up.

Short nozzle pump

When you have a serum bottle, you may have this kind of pump with lock up function. There is normally an arrow on the

head, meaning you can twist the head to the arrow direction to unlock the pump. This is also designed for avoiding

accidental squirt.

Foam pump

A foam pump dispenses doses of the liquid contained in the bottle in the form of foam. Foam is created in the foaming

chamber. The liquid constituents are mixed in the foaming chamber and this is discharged through a nylon mesh. If your

pump once foamed, and over time has stopped foaming it is likely that your foaming mechanism has soap build up and

has coated the foaming filter with this soap build up. When the foaming filter is clogged it will prevent foam from

producing.

To fix this problem, you can soak this part in the hot water or warm water overnight and then work on it the next day.

Normally you would get all this excess stuff cleared out of the pump. Or you can unclog your pump by following the steps below.
